ISRO Launched 104 Satellites in the Space
The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has made the world record by launching 104 satellites into space in a single mission.
From Sriharikota, the Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV-C37) lifted off with 104 satellites of which 3 satellites are Indian while the rest 101 are from other countries including The Netherlands, Switzerland, Israel, Kazakhstan, United Arab Emirates, and the US.
The main satellite was heavy of 714 kilograms while the other 103 satellites “nanosatellites” together were 664 kilograms.
By doing so, ISRO has beaten the record of Russia where 37 satellites were launched in a single launch.
ISRO has also beaten its national record that it set after launching a rocket with 20 satellites successfully. Out of these 20 satellites, 13 were from the US.
With the successful launching of these satellites, it is greatly hoped to grow in business sectors. India and other countries are taking it as a big achievement in the communication industries
ISRO is also thinking over the idea of the great missions to Venus and Jupiter. To Mars’ orbit, the second mission may be carried out in the 2021-2022 timeframe. It may involve some other points such as putting a robot on the Red Planet’s surface.
Modi Government is pleased with the progress of ISRO and it has recently announced a 23 percent increase for the space agency in the annual budget.
